Voting For Our Theme

Tuesday (06/01/2009)

a) Singing together!
The kids learnt to listen to instructions. They queued up in two lines. They remembered the opposite friend as their partner. As they sang the “HAPPY” song, they jumped forward and finally hi-fived! They loved this action song.
“ I am H.A.P.P.Y.
I am H.A.P.P.Y.
I am H.A.P.P.Y.
I am a happy person.”

b) Sharing my happiness
· The kids took turn to tell their picture story which they drew yesterday. It was very interesting. They stood in front to share the story in English with less prompting.
· Ze Yan thought that he would be happy if he could go to Sunway lagoon with his mother, father and brother. Jin Shan and Yun Zhe enjoyed watching the television at home with their family. Yun Wen and Shi Jie drew each other as good friends. Meanwhile, Xin Ru drew Yun Wen and Xin Ru as her good friends that make her always happy. Jian Wei drew a lovely home and he enjoys spending time with his family and brother. Justin, Max, Eugene are three kids who enjoyed their BEN 10 PSPs and Gameboys. Zi Yang felt happy playing with his favourite BEN 10 and Transformer toy.
· Meanwhile, Song Chuan loves reading as it makes him knowledgeable. Le Xin and Wen Yue drew themselves with spaceships. Foo Soon imagined that having a pet shark. In fact, he wishes to be a shark trainer. The kids gave real support when Guan Yi stood in front trying to present his story. He drew his happy time on the swing and also his favourite “kuih-muih”. Jin Nan enjoyed drawing as she could draw beautiful Princess and nice butterflies.

c) Discussion: Which theme?
· Their ideas were infinity….an on-going list! The kids came out with 3 main topics, namely; Chinese New Year, Chinese Drawing and also activities with friends. 2/3 chose “activities with friends.” They suggested “TV Card”……and majority agreed. I even got Eugene and Yun Zhe to explain the meaning of “TV card” as in their mind….haaaa……similar to my cheap little “tikam” toy during my childhood! Basically, they would learn to be produces, editors and also presenters….and maybe imaginary actors and actresses.
