a)      Proton and Perodua.

l       After organizing our files to be brought home, we learnt about Malaysia’s National Car. The first was Proton Saga and after since; they were more cars and they have improved from there.

l       I showed the kids the various cars of Perodua. The smallest was Kancil followed by Viva, Kelisa and Kenari. Then, there’s also MyVi, Kembara and also the latest Nautica.

l       Proton include: Saga, Wira, Preve, Waja, Alza and Rusa.

b)      Homework.

l       This includes 2 parts: drawing the family car and interviewing parents.

l       To encourage the kids with the drawing, I sketched one on the board. I labeled the parts. Later, we went to the car porch to observe and draw my MyVi car.

l       The Interview questions included:

1.        Father / Mother, what car do you drive?

2.       How old is the car?

3.       How much was the car price?

4. What is the engine cc? (1.3, 1.5 etc.)

5.       Which petrol do you pump in? Is it petrol efficiency?

6.       When do you service the car?

7.       Do you love the car? Why?

c)       Sketching at the porch.

I drove my MyVi car and parked nearby the porch. Kids were very serious at drawing. Only Yi Han needed some guidance but she was able to continue from there. I was so proud of them!
