Badminton Medal Ceremony

Wednesday (22/06/2011)

a) The Practice
• We practised marching forward to receive the medals. Kids learnt to marched smartly, shake hands well and saying “Thank you” and bow.
• Gold medal goes to Jun Yu, Silver medal goes to Weei Xiang and the Bronze medal goes to Qian Joe. These kids were to stand on chairs while the others were to stand beside the winners on the floor.
• The other kids were awarded “Determined Player” for the effort they put in.
• Then, we practised singing Malaysian National Anthem, “Negaraku”.

b) Our VIP Guest.
• We invited our Assistant Principal to give away medals to the excited kids.
• We marched to the school garden and queued in position. We greeted her and she gave away medals to the Gold, Silver and Bronze players. Meanwhile, I gave medals to the other kids who were very determined at the Badminton Match.
• Upon a question asked, “Is Badminton easy?”
Kids: “Not….not easy but we practised hard and have improved!”

c) Recording and Colouring.
• We recalled moments of our Badminton training and match. I drew some pictures on the board. The 6 year-old kids were encouraged to draw while the 5 year-old kids have the option to draw or colour pictures prepared for them. They just loved badminton!
