The Worksheets.

Wednesday (01/06/2011)

a) Numbers Worksheet.
• We recapped on numbers 1 to 50. The kids took turn to write on the whiteboard. A few kids sometimes write “mirror-imaged” characters such as Jia Xun. They were guided individually.
• Next, they completed the blanks on the worksheet.

b) Ocean Animals Worksheet.
• We talked about the pictures and their names. Some were animals that we saw at KLCC Aquaria.
• Among: seahorse, piranha, shark and puffer fish.
• The kids wrote down the names under each picture on their worksheets.

c) The Little Octopus.
• This was a little “Tako” or cooked octopus from a sushi shop that Teacher Huang bought for us. We analysed its arms, suction cups, siphon, head and brain as well as its eyes.
• I cut into small pieces and the some kids came to eat the parts. Some thought it was delicious while some said, the octopus was too cute to be cut up. I explained to them that the octopus was meant as a sushi food.
