a) Malaysian Hero.
• Datuk Lee Chong Wei is our Malaysian Badminton hero, mentor and also World Number One Badminton player. Badminton is a world sports. Malaysia gets more famous because of Datuk Lee’s fame!
• When he was in Primary School, he loved Basketball and Badminton. Howver, he chose to venture into badminton. As he was playing in a court one day, he was spotted by a coach and he was trained professionally. He has won many titles including Silver title for the Olympics Game. His mission now is the Gold Medal in Olympics 2012 before retiring.
b) Video Clips
• We saw an International Media that inerviwed Datuk Lee and his team. They spoke in English and his sharings, “When I jog, or go to the gym, or when training at the court, I go all out!”
• He’s very determined and very punctual and considered as a very disciplined person. He’s happy , very focused, generous and healthy too.
c) Our Badminton Practice.
• Last Friday, the kids substituted shuttlecocks with plastic balls because shuttlecocks were quite difficult for most of them. After getting more confidence with plastic bouncing ball; we focused back on shuttlecocks today. Obviously, most kids could serve better and showed more confident at hitting and playing. No kids complained that it’s not fun anymore because they now see what they are able to do!
• First, wearmed up to avoid injuries. Kids took part too.
• Secondly, Serving practice. Each kid has got 5 shuttlecocks.
• Thirdly, pair game whereby each kid was given 3 minutes to play against their partner.
• Fourthly, we learnt to count the scores.
