a) A glimpse.
• Our green bean is sprouting and the kids start comparing theirs to their friends and wonder why some grew higher than the others. We were so concerned what will happen at the weekends as nobody will be watering the plants. Yun Xin suggested that we bring back the plant and take good care of them.
b) “Snap” Game.
• With the same card game that we are making, we ca also play the third game i.e. “Snap”. I chose 3 kids and demonstrated to the class. A few kids said they had play games similar to this. It tests their alertness, speed and focus. Now, the kids get even more excited to finish their card game.
c) Let’s work it!
• The kids continued. This time, they received another 10 rectangle cards and had to cut them into half and continue from 21 until 40. Numbers were briefly recapped beforehand.
• The kids were more familiar and more independent. The younger kids needed more guidance.
