Water Cycle

a) Evaporation
• I sketched a picture of houses on the land with trees, mountains, lakes, rivers, seas, oceans and also the sun and clouds.
• Evaporation occur because of the sun and the wind. The evaporated water could be from the puddle, drain, leaves’ water, rivers or even our clothes and wet hair. Shawn mentioned that the ocean and river has got too much water for the sun to dry up.
• The water changes into gas which we can’t see. Then it rises into the sky. As trhe temperature gets colder, it creates a cloud. More and more water vapour create clouds and finally, they get colder and this is known as condensation. They will fall down as the rain known as precipitation. They will fall onto the Earth. It could be into the garden, on the car, into the river, ocean and etc. Thus, it’s possible that we are also drinking the same water that dinosaur used to drink! 

b) The Water Cycle Song.
Rain and snow come down,
And they hit the ground,
Into the puddles and ground,
It’s the water cycle,
Rain……..Rain……
It’s the water cycle.

• The kids asked for explanation which we talked about the lyrics.

c) Video clips.
• We watched animated clips on water cycle. It was entertaining and kids understand better. We also listened to the water cycle song.
• Each time when it lokks like going to rain, Xing Jing will remind the class that Evaporation is over, time for rain! 

d) Picture recording.
• The kids drew pictures of Water Cycle.
