A Mother’s Flower Gift.

Friday (06/05/2011)

a) My mother’s hand.
• We talked about mother’s palms and how smooth or rough they are. Most kids said that their mothers’ palms are smooth and beautiful while a few like Qian Joe said his mother’s palm is rough.
• Every wrinkle on our mother’s palm shows her commitment towards our growth. They do housework, care for us and family members as well as work in the office. Thus kids said that we must be good kids and love our parents as a great appreciation and love towards them.

b) Big hand loves little hand.
• The big hand is mother’s while the little is the kid’s. Students cut the two shapes which they completed yesterday. Then, they put the little onto the bigger one ad rolled like a flower. Then, they tucked it into a big straw and cellophantaped them.
• Next, they cut their leaves patterns and pasted on the straw. Finally, they made a small card for their mothers with messages of Mother’s Day. Eg. “I love you, mother!” or “Thank you, mother!”

c) Rehearsing their Love Game
• The kids rehearsed their Love Game questions with their friends. The they exchanged roles pretending to be a mother and a kid.
