Mothers’ Day frame

Thursday (07/05/2009)

a) A handicapped boy.
Why are some people handicapped? Due to accident, from childbirth or even from malnutritious meal.
Unhealthy bone growth could be one of the reasons. What can handicapped people do?
Some of them are good painters. Paintings by foot or mouth. However, none of the kids have seen this. We would try to search for these paintings.

b) Everyone Is Special
Thus, we sang the class’s favourite song to remind that each and everyone is special!
Today, we danced to the music. The kids followed my dance steps…..Pheww……they get tired easily…haaa!
However, before dancing; we did warm-up to stretch our bodies.
Some kids volunteered to be the instructor.
We even did some stretches of trees, chairs and see-saws.

c) Continuation of Mothers’ Day frame.
We sang the song on “Happy Mothers’ Day”.
Then, the kids proceeded with written work. Some copied the lyrics hoping to sing for their mother this Sunday. Some preferred to write their own message such as Jen Ning. I helped her with the spelling.
The wrote those words on many shapes. Some were written on a big love, a butterfly, or even on a shark!
After pasting to the main cardboard, the kids tied a knot so as to hang the photo frame. Most were rather dependent on me. A few like Yun Zhe were quite independent.
We would continue with the other decorations tomorrow.
